PET COZIES
Pet blankets may be knitted, crocheted or sewn, but must be washable? Knit or crocheted blankets should be a tight weave, fairly thick (use several strands together or a single strand of #5 or #6 bulky yarn.) Suitable fabrics are denim, flannel, heavy cotton with batting in between layers and stitched from corner to corner so the batting doesn't bunch up when washed.

 Safe Haven of Tarrant County Texas

Safe Haven is the largest and most comprehensive agency in Tarrant County providing services at no cost to domestic violence victims.  They offer 24 hour care at two emergency shelters for families fleeing domestic violence.  Let’s see if we can help Safe Haven by warming their hearts and their toes with our donations.

CHALLENGE #08-2021 IS COMPLETE!

BRIGHTER TOMORROWS

Irving, Texas 

"Together We Can Provide Brighter Tomorrows"
Brighter Tomorrows has 2 shelters, one in Irving and the other in Grand Prairie. While both shelters sustained damage, the residents of the Grand Prairie shelters were evacuated due to damage from the recent storm. Both shelters had burst pipes that caused ceilings to collapse in several areas. There was electrical and vent damage in the kitchen resulting in the loss of all refrigerated food.
All furniture will need to be replaced. There was severe flooding in their administrative offices. Brighter Tomorrows host pets and are looking forward to Cozies for Pets.
