CHALLENGE #46 - 2018

“A safe place. A warm bed. A new start.”  Haven House operates a 20-bed emergency women’s shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and their children.  Haven House strives to provide a healing environment that is modeled in the values of compassion, dignity, and respect.  “Everyone deserves a safe place.”


Haven House also has a pet program in place and currently has four furry friends in house, so we would like to send along some wonderful, warm pet cozies for them, too.  Listed below is what we would like to send to them: 

SLIPPERS & WASHCLOTHS

  48 Women’s Slippers - DONE
    6 Teen Boy/Men Slippers - DONE

100 Washcloths - DONE


PET COZIES   ***Pet blankets may be knitted, crocheted, or sewn, but must be washable. Knitted or crocheted blankets should be a tight weave and fairly thick (use several strands together or a single strand of #5 or #6 bulky yarn.) Suitable fabrics are denim, flannel, heavy cotton with batting in between layers and stitched from corner to corner so the batting doesn’t bunch up when washed. ***
