CHALLENGE COMPLETED!

Well, our members did it again......200 pairs of handmade slippers and 200 handmade washcloths pledged for Bethany House in Toledo, Ohio, in just 24 hours!   Woo Hoo!!   A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped complete this challenge.

If you are new to The Pink Slipper Project and are interested in joining in on our next challenge, please watch for our next post here (probably the beginning of next week) or join us over on our Facebook page, where most of our pledges come in.

Don't do Facebook?  That's okay.  You are welcome to follow the blog and send us your pledge via email to:   thepinkslipperproject at gmail (dot) com or through the message box at the top right of the page.   Please be sure to include your full name for our records.

If a category has already been filled that you have pledged, we will let you know just as soon as possible and ask if you would like to pledge a different gender/size category.

Slippers do not have to be "pink" but we prefer them to be made from acrylic yarn if knitted or crocheted (no wool, please, due to allergies).   You may use any pattern you like (not just the PSP knit or crochet patterns) - but please do NOT add any embellishments, like buttons, glue-on eyes, bows, etc. to the children's slippers as they could be easily removed and become a choking hazard.

Crocheted or knitted washcloths should be made with 100% cotton or a cotton/polyester blend yarn.  You may use any pattern you wish, but please do not use bright colors that could "bleed" in the laundry (especially, red).   The size can range from 7" to 10" square or round.   Bath mitts are also great for the kids if you like to make them.

Please feel free to ask any questions!

The PSP Team
