In 1978 the American Association of University Women and Wayne State College staff determined there was a need for domestic violence services for victims of domestic violence and their children. The Wayne Police Dept. provided after hours contact and continues after hour contact today.
Haven House is dedicated to the elimination of violence against women, men, and children through empowerment, education, social action, and support services.
