CHALLENGE #1-2023 is Complete

 

Gulf Coast Center for Non-Violence

Gulf Coast Center opened as a safe house in 1977, providing help to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Since then, the Center has grown to be the largest, most comprehensive program in the State of Mississippi.
** This Shelter has requested that all slippers for children be in neutral colors. Any color or combination of colors other than pastel blue or pink are fine **

Pet Cozies
PET BLANKETS MAY BE KNITTED, CROCHETED OR SEWN, BUT MUST BE WASHABLE. KNIT OR CROCHETED BLANKETS SHOULD BE A TIGHT WEAVE, FAIRLY THICK (USE SEVERAL STRANDS TOGETHER OR A SINGLE STRAND OF #5 OR #6 BULKY YARN.) SUITABLE FABRICS ARE DENIM, FLANNEL, HEAVY COTTON WITH BATTING IN BETWEEN LAYERS AND STITCHED FROM CORNER TO CORNER SO THE BATTING DOESN'T BUNCH UP WHEN WASHED.
