CHALLENGE #17 - 2018
ANNA MARIE’S ALLIANCE
St. Cloud, Minnesota
****CHALLENGE COMPLETED****
“We hold the dream of nonviolence for women and children until they can hold it for themselves.”
Anna Marie’s Alliance is a repeat shelter for The Pink Slipper Project. We will be requesting slippers, washcloths, and pet blankets for them again this time. The Pet Shelter at Anna Marie’s Alliance is an important place. Not only do the furry family friends receive care, but it also doubles as an educational center as the children learn about caring for their pet. The children visit and play and can relax knowing their pet is safe and well cared for.
(One item on the shelter’s “wish list” stood out to me. They are in need of fun and colorful pillow cases for children for their Sweet Dreams Project. These can be hand sewn or bought if any of our members would wish to add one or two to their packages. - Judy)
SLIPPERS and WASHCLOTHS:
40 Women’s - DONE
3 Teen Boys - DONE
7 Preteen Girls - DONE
7 Preteen Boys - DONE
7 Youth Girls - DONE
7 Youth Boys - DONE
7 Toddler Girls - DONE
7 Toddler Boys - DONE
8 Baby Booties (neutral) - DONE
90 Washcloths - DONE
COZIES (Pet Blankets):****
3 - 20 x 20 blankets - DONE
3 - 24 x 24 blankets - DONE
4 - 24 x 30 blankets - DONE
****Pet blankets may be knitted, crocheted, or sewn, but must be washable. Knitted or crocheted blankets should be a tight weave and fairly thick (use several strands of #4 together or a single strand of #5 or #6 bulky yarn). Suitable fabrics are denim, flannel, or heavy cotton with batting in between layers and stitched so the batting doesn’t bunch up when washed.****
PLEASE MAIL BY: MAY 19, 2018
MAILING ADDRESS:
